Remodeling a Rockland Maine Building Into Main Street Markets

Back in the late 2000s we were asked if we might be interested in remodeling what used to be The Store in Rockland into a market space. Working in an old, historic brick building was something that we were very excited to do. So we said “Yes!”.

And so began a multi-year project creating what is now Main Street Markets!

While we definitely did a lot to create a market space from an old store front, it was the interior workings of the building that really needed attention.  From brick work and new archways to installing coolers, updating plumbing & electrical systems and everything else like this that really became the meat of the project.

Now the space has been transformed and has been Main Street Markets for some time, as well as Ada’s Kitchen. Both of which became wonderful additions to Rocklan’s bustling main street!
