A New Lake House in Camden, Maine

Back in 2015 The Potter Building Company was contacted by a family who had a cottage on Megunticook Lake in Camden, Maine.  Unfortunately, the cottage had burned down a number of years ago.  But now, they were ready to rebuild.

They designed a beautiful new cottage that resembled the old footprint of their former home, and kept the Maine cottage style.  But, they also wanted to bring it up to date as far as energy efficiency.  They decided to use S.I.P.S. for the exterior of their structure, put in heat pumps and they situated the new cottage so it could benefit from all of the passive solar benefits the property received given its location.

Now that it’s complete, you can take a look and see how our Midcoast Maine home builder brought it all together.  We’re all very pleased and the family has been so glad to be enjoying their special Camden, ME lakefront home again.
